We celebrate the fall season with a special “Dinner on the Farm” where we take time to sit down and enjoy friends and food. Our handcrafted, multiple course meal is inspired by the seasonal harvest from Suncrest Gardens and other producers up and down river. Each meal is prepared and shared by culinary enthusiast and farmer, Heather Secrist.
The unique atmosphere in our rustic and charming barn adds to the experience of our dinners on the farm. We hope you enjoy the surprise and inspiration of the meal which is crafted around the seasonal harvest. The menu will not be revealed until the night of the event.
Seats must be reserved in advance. You must email or call Heather to reserve your seat. Seating is limited. Checks may be mailed to the farm to pay for your tickets, or we can take credit cards. Cost is $50 + tax per person.
- Reservations required. 60+ seats available per event, 6-8 people per table and you may be seated with others to fill your table.
- Dinners will be located within our barn. There is heat in the barn, but dress appropriately.
- Dinner includes multiple course meal, beverage, and dessert. $50+ tax per person.
- One glass of sangria, wine or beer is included in the price of the meal. A cash bar is available for additional wine or beer.
Our dinners on the farm celebrate ingredients that are in season and culinary creations which utilize the seasonal harvest, items in the root cellar, or items that have been preserved. The spontaneity of preparing the “best of the season” for the menu is part of the experience for our guests.
We typically have some appetizers and a cocktail to begin the dinner while everyone arrives. We then usually create a single four-course menu emphasizing our farm’s ingredients and those sourced within our local region. These dinners are not appropriate for vegans. However, let me know if you have a vegetarian preference in advance and I can accommodate you. Please specify any dietary restrictions/allergies prior to your ticket purchase. At this time, I may be able to accommodate gluten-free requests if notified well in advance of the meal with permission by Heather only.
We have a list of local cabins, cottages, B&Bs, and farm retreats listed on our area attractions page as well as a long list of interesting things to see and do.
