Suncrest Gardens Farm is a small 16 acre farm nestled in a valley near the Mississippi River . The wooded hills around us are abundant with deer, turkeys, coyotes, fox, bear, bobcat, and a rare mountain lion. Yeager Valley is oriented east-west providing ample sunlight and air circulation. The rolling cropland in the valley floor is composed of a fertile sandy loam.

Animals are a part of our small diversified farm. They provide fertility for the soil, eat leftover vegetables thereby cycling nutrients back to the earth, till the garden cover crops, and entertain us often.

Three unheated hoophouses and one heated greenhouse help buffer the seasons growing conditions for our crops. We grow our own plants from seed and then transplant them into the garden space to help get a jump on the season.
