It’s hard to believe we are almost to September, but the cooler nights and foggy mornings feel like back to school time. Things have sped up into whirlwind phase this week as one of our volunteers from Canada left us after a wonderful 3 weeks here at the farm. Theresa, the other summer intern, also returns back to her life as a student this week as well. So things will be a bit quieter around here, but the workload will still be strong for a while as we are busy with the harvest until frost comes. I know, I said the “F” word frost but crazily the thought does creep into my mind a little this time of year.
I am keeping an eye on the weather and Sunday is looking like a rain-free day. Our big farm wedding celebration will be that day and I’m excited to help create the locally inspired seasonal food for the occasion.
Until next time,
Eat Well. Smile Often.
