I believe you’ve seen the last cucumber, melon, summer squash, and zucchini of the season. Did I hear a hurrah? I know I’ve eaten my fill but that is the beauty of seasonal eating. Eat your fill and then move on to the next seasonal harvest, and by the time those tastes come around next year we’ll be craving them again. So this box marks the the last of the summer bounty, and next week’s box will be a bit smaller and tasting a bit more like fall.

Pasture Raised Meats…Beef or Lamb

As our freezers fill up here at the farm with all of the season’s treasures, we will also be sending our pastured steers off on their “field trip” next week. We still have a 1/4 of a beef available for sale if anyone is interested. In addition to having a variety of cuts in either an 1/8 or 1/4  of beef, we will have an economy package of 15# of hamburger in 1# bags and 5# of tenderized griller steaks.  These burger/griller bundles are $100.

If anyone is interested in pasture raised lamb, we will also have 1/2 or whole lambs available. Please reserve ASAP as our numbers are limited, and any lambs not reserved will be sold to market. Contact Heather for more info.

Wood-Fired Pizza & The Ditch Lilies Friday evening

Our pizza evenings are on the countdown…only 3 Fridays left! This Friday the lovely Ditch Lilies will be serenading the valley from 5:30-8:30pm. Enjoy the change to fall with the seduction of the evening sunlight and a campfire. Pizzas are available 4:30-9pm. No reservations needed, but a curtesy call is appreciated for groups larger than 15 people.

Dinner on the Farm

This fall and winter, reserve your place at the table for a five course meal inspired by the bountiful harvest grown by Suncrest Gardens Farm and other producers within 100 miles of the farm. We hope you’ll enjoy the surprise and diversity of the foods prepared in an uncomplicated, handcrafted style. $60 per person includes multiple course meal, beverage, complimentary wine, and music. Saturday, Oct 15th 5pm…Reservations Required
