The boxes have taken a sharp turn towards fall this week. Many of our warm season plants were killed in the frost last week marking the official switch to fall. We have the first acorn squash (some green acorn squash and some carnival colored acorn squash) in the boxes and sage in the herb shares. Those items certainly say fall is here.

We’ve enjoyed snacking on a relish tray with cut up radishes, carrots, and peppers this week. Easy healthy snacks for busy days.

The last of the tomatoes are in the boxes and yes they are green. So to balance the healthy recipe, we have a fried green tomato recipe this week too.So if you’ve wanted to try fried green tomatoes, this is your chance.
