Welcome to the Winter CSA season!
We hope that this week’s share finds you warm and settling back into a rhythm post holiday season. Please watch your footing on the ice that seems to be covering most driveways and roads as you pick up your shares today.
Our intent in packing the winter shares is to provide you with an assortment of wholesome foods that are abundant in color, flavor, and variety. The share contains two boxes: one with fresh/non-frozen items and one containing frozen items.
The cost for a CSA member to receive the share is $70 per week. A total of 6 deliveries will be made every other week through mid March. We estimate that the value of each box will be over $80 therefore giving the CSA members a savings discount of around 12%.
We hope you enjoy the option of customizing your soups if desired. The link to make this customization is on our website’s winter CSA tab. If you don’t do anything, I’ll simply give you 2 soups of the farmer’s choice trying to rotate the varieties that you receive. Most all of our soups are vegetarian and gluten-free, except the Roasted Pepper & Spinach Soup with Orzo (as the orzo is wheat based). A few more items will be added to the winter CSA Online Store such as pizzas and meats. Watch for those updates soon.
Eat Well. Smile Often.
Your Farmer,
Heather
